Driving Directions to HSI offices
From I-5, traveling South from Portland/Vancouver:
- Take the Multnomah Blvd. Exit off I-5. (This is the first exit after the Terwilliger Exit.)
- Stay on Multnomah until you reach the intersection of Multnomah and SW 45th Ave. (There will be a Shell station on your right.)
- Turn LEFT onto 45th.
- Go through the stop sign at Garden Home Rd.
- Go two more blocks to Freeman St.
- Freeman St. is only on the left side of 45th.
- Turn LEFT onto Freeman St.
- Near the end of the street on the right is a paved parking area. Park there or in the driveway of the tall brown house immediately uphill at 4220 SW Freeman Street.
- Follow the pathway from the driveway past the front door of the tall brown house. The Human Systems Institute is in a two story brown building about 50 feet uphill from this house.
From I-5, traveling North from Salem:
- Take the Barbur Blvd Exit, #294 (the first exit after the Haines St. Exit).
- Go straight at the stop light at the end of the exit.
- Get in the right hand lane.
- About 1/2 mile, look for a McDonald’s on your right.
- Turn RIGHT onto Huber St. immediately after the McDonald’s.
- Get into the far left lane immediately.
- At the stop-light, turn LEFT onto Capitol Hwy.
- Go through the light at Barbur Blvd.
- At the stop sign with Taylor’s Ferry Rd, 1 block away, turn LEFT.
- At the light with SW 48th, turn RIGHT onto 48th. (SW 48th becomes 45th at the bottom of the hill.)
- Look for Freeman St. on your right towards the bottom of the hill.
- At Freeman St., turn RIGHT.
- Near the end of the street on the right is a paved parking area. Park there or in the driveway of the tall brown house immediately uphill at 4220 SW Freeman Street.
- Follow the pathway from the driveway past the front door of the tall brown house. The Human Systems Institute is in a two story brown building about 50 feet uphill from this house.
