We are more than mind and body: We are the web of relationships we live in and co-create. Recent scientific theory suggests that our bodies can be understood as a community of smaller organisms in relationship with one another. If one part of the community of relationships is out of balance, the whole of the community is affected. We are intrinsically social beings. In addition, patterns of dysfunction or wellness often have roots in our family history. We are our families. Understanding the roots of these trans-generational patterns enables you to work effectively with the larger rhythms of trauma that unfold over time.

It takes a village to make a healthy human being. Clients who are connected to their “village” – family, both past and current, and friends – are more likely to heal quickly and to stay with therapy. Understanding the trans-generational patterns present in your client ’s complaints helps you and your client co-create an approach that addresses these underlying issues.

In this training program you will learn:

  • The simple Orders of Love that generate the complex behavior of family system.
  • The four patients take towards give and take that often result in different patterns of health or illness
  • The effects of generational trauma, and the difference between adult onset and childhood/adolescent trauma patterns in health or illness
  • How social traumas can affect your client
  • To understand and address the crucial role of conscience has in determining whether your client is able to choose suffering or health
  • The hidden loyalties that cause self-sabotage and undermine therapy/treatment
  • How not helping can be the most effective way to support your clients’’ healing and development
  • How to understand the non-verbal messages your clients are sending you, and that your own body is giving you, and how to use those respectfully and ethically in your client relationships
  • How simple healing sentences can be as powerful as medicine in creating a context for healing

What you get in this course:

“I feel like constellation work has allowed me a much deeper and broader contextual framework, something like generational medical wisdom...
“I have always subscribed to the principles of treating body/mind and spirit, and as above/so below, but studying constellation work has really allowed me to integrate these ideas into real-time meaning and application. It is like I can now connect the dots even better, through generations, as well as seeing how patterns really manifest similarly in body/mind and spirit. It is funny, because a lot my patients ask me if I am psychic, or make some comment about mind reading, but it is a result of pattern identification. Homeopathy embraces this, Chinese medicine understands this, and constellation has taught me a lot of the missing pieces.
“The work really has changed how I practice medicine.”

--Lori Beth Stargrove, ND

The wisdom you need is right under your own and your clients' noses. This experiential process taps directly into the silent wisdom of the relational body. We come into being inside another human being. We learn relationship through touch, proximity and interaction. We know relationships long before we can talk about them. The genetic and epigenetic information we inherit from our family, in conjunction with experiences in our early years, deeply patterns our lives. This process allows you to tap directly into your clients’ silent knowledge of how they “stand” in relationship to the larger web of life that supports them – their families and friends. These powerful resources are essential in recovering and maintaining well-being and healing.

You (and your client) must be present to win!Just like the neighborhood store contests where you had to be present at the store to claim your prize, your presence is one of the most important aspects of your treatment. The way you are with clients will determine what they disclose and the quality of information they share with you – information vital to creating an accurate treatment program. Your presence creates or closes possibilities with your patient. Very often clients’ suppress vital personal information that would assist in reaching a therapeutic outcome. Learn how to get that information in your initial interview.

“As a participant I’m growing and learning on many fronts, personally and professionally. My understanding of the underlying principles of the work has profoundly influenced the ways in which I make meaning - my worldview is literally shifting and changing. Developing skills of seeing and feeling the field is becoming a practice that I can take into most situations of life. I’m becoming a more effective and sensitive communicator as this awareness deepens. And, at a personal level, I have been able to acknowledge some of the ways in which I have been entangled and to make clear choices that are honoring of my family system." -- Marianne Murray, PhD

Words can imprison your patients or free them. Words are still important. They frame or deny what our bodies are saying. We create our social worlds with language. For example, a judge can free a person or imprison them with two different words – innocent or guilty. Words invite very different forms of action. How you speak creates the healing world your clients encounter when they seek your service. And, how your clients speak tells you a lot about their world and the obstacles they face in achieving a resilient, fulfilling life. Learn new ways of speaking and listening that facilitate the emergence of a deeply healing space for your clients.

The method: Systemic Constellation Work
Systemic constellation work (SCW) is a powerful way of accessing the somatic imprint your patients carry of their families systems. Patterns that have been passed from one generation to another create hidden loyalties that bind us to unhealthy behaviors. SCW allows the therapist to take the client’s felt sense of where each member of his or her system “stands” in relation to other members of the system and make a visual map of this web of relationships across time. Once the map is clear, many long-standing patterns of behavior also become clear. These can then be directly addressed in the context of the healing session in a gentle and straightforward way that supports Life and the client’s well-being.
